Fulcrum Group, an instant-on tech marketing firm that helps B2B tech companies stand out, resonate, and break through to drive demand and turn prospects into customers faster, was experiencing significant growth – a great problem to have – but their operational infrastructure was not quite ready for the scale it needed. Rather than remaining focused on building the business and ensuring their team continued to deliver exceptional work, leadership found themselves mired in operational tasks and diverting valuable time and resources away from strategic growth initiatives. This distracted them from doing what they do best – delivering exceptional work and a great experience for their customers.

First 5 Marin, a lean yet impactful organization dedicated to supporting early childhood development, faced significant tech and operational infrastructure challenges. Upon the arrival of their new Executive Director, it quickly became evident that inefficiencies in their technological and operational systems were hindering their ability to maximize their reach and effectiveness. Crucially, the organization needed to secure the personal data they handled through better tech solutions. Additionally, the organization was rolling out a new grant RFP process and did not have the system in place to support the effort.

Dilemma

SHE-CAN was using Google Drive for document storage and to manage their scholars’ college application process; however members had trouble gleaning the step-by-step process as well as accessing the materials, which led to a lot of questions and inefficiency for staff. While they were well-organized and diligently saved their files, they needed assistance with access and process flow. In addition, some of the members struggled with understanding how to use and navigate Google Drive. SHE-CAN wanted a tool that would be easier to navigate and serve their members’ needs better, but they did not know what this solution might be.

They asked Lift Group to find a technology that would be easy to use, broaden visibility, and lessen their time spent answering emails and organizing meetings. We began by analyzing their organization’s structure and considering their needs..
